Professor Ho is the Chairman of the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Prince of Wales Hospital. His current research focus is on the interactions between the gut microbiome, physical and nutritional prehabilitation, and perioperative outcome. He aims to develop strategies that can reduce postoperative infections and long-term post-surgical pain by optimising the gut microbiome and immune function.
