Tim Bowles trained in anaesthesia and critical care in the UK, before completing his training in intensive care medicine in Western Australia. He has been a specialist intensivist with tertiary trauma practice since 2015. He has particular interests in patient safety and resilience engineering in healthcare, and led the international award SAFE out-of-hours care program at RPH. He also has an interest in the use of technology and data to improve the quality of patient care, and is the medical lead for the East Metropolitan Health Service Health in A Virtual Environment program.
